It's quite late but due to some problems I couldn't get time to review the rest of the products of Faces Canada's New Silk Luxury Makeup Range. I have really a hectic schedule of life routine these days.Anyways today let's take a look at another product from the same range.

It's a compact pressed powder includes with Faces Silk Range. An oil free compact which gives your makeup a matte finish look.

In the mirror of my own experience

Summers are about to begin and the main problem of this season is sweating. I never use a foundation in this season, the only thing which can work for reducing the sweating is a good pressed powder and it must be in one's handbag these days.

Packaging

It comes in a shining metallic gray round compact packaging which is a elegant packaging. It opens after pressing the button with a click. Inside the case you find the pressed powder with a white puff and a round mirror.The packaging is very nice though the puff provided with powder is useless for me because I always love to apply a pressed powder with my Revlon powder brush but overall it's good packaging.

Texture

As the name suggests it really has a silky texture. You can feel the silky touch on your face while applying.

It's so light weighted that whenever I apply it just after moisturizing my face, the only feels that all the shine of my face have gone and nothing else, & I never feel that I've applied something on my face. I love its light silky texture which can be exampled with feather.

Application

These days, I don't use foundation at all, and makeup is so easy these days. I apply it after washing, moisturizing and applying sunscreen on my face, apply the powder giving just 2 or 3 swipes and blend it well. After that usually I apply nothing and become ready to go out but apply eyeliner and a light shade lipstick for some special occasion.

Effect

When I apply it after applying foundation it gives my make up a lovely soft finish without being in any way powdery or cakey looking, and even it gives natural coverage and a matte finish look to my bare face and taking the shine in itself. I never face the sweating problem after wearing it,usually I don't suffer from sweating problem on my face so if you have oily skin and have sweating problem especially on your upper lips or forehead, you'll have give time to one or two touch ups more.

Lasting power

It lasts for almost 5 to 6 hour easily on my face, never felt need to do a retouch on my skin. It's really durable. Whenever I applied it for going out for five/six hours, I almost forget that I have applied anything on my face. It's very natural and has a strong lasting power. If you have oily face, it'll last for at least 3 to 4 hours easily.

Good points

Beautiful and sturdy packaging.
Clicking way to open and close keeps it safe and secure.
It has soft and silky texture.
It blends well.

It's very light weight and gives a buildable natural coverage.

Keeps away the shining of my face and give it a matte finish look..

It doesn't cake at all, even on dry skin.

It doesn’t settle in creases.

It’s long lasting.

It sets or the foundation in a natural way.

The quality is worth the cost.

Bad points

It doesn't give a high coverage to the skin so if you want some more coverage, it's not for you.

Finally...

I'm very happy with its quality. After Revlon this is the second compact powder that has impressed me. It's natural and so light weight but it has no shining particles in it like Revlon's PhotoReady but whenever I want a complete natural look, I apply this on my bare face. It gives a natural and thin coverage to my skin and gives it a silky soft feeling. I can say finally that it's another good product from Faces Canada's Silk Glam Range.

Faces Canada's Silk Glam range is a big hit in India. I asked many ladies about this range and almost all were agree on this view that it's such a range from Faces that can't be missed at any chance.

I completely have the same opinion because I have used their many products before and reviewed them many times. I was really excited to try out their Silk range and I was happy to know that Faces were sending me that range some times ago but unfortunately they couldn’t send it to me due to some problem but the next time they send me it too quickly. I have shown their whole range in my previous posts and today I’m reviewing Faces Silk Glam On Eye Shadow Duo Amber which is a part of their New Silk Luxury Makeup Range.

Packaging

Just the packaging is enough to make one spellbound about the product. I'm extremely impressed with the packaging. The eye shadow duo comes in a beautiful sleek sturdy case. The compact case is so glossy & shiny that you can see your face in it. Beautiful grayish black case with the duo number and expiry date written at the bottom of the case. After opening the case you find the two shadows with a wide mirror and a sponge tip applicator which can give some help in applying the shadows. Over all it’s a classy packaging.

Shade

There are two shades in the case; they have given the name Amber. The first shadow is sparkly bronze and the other one is pinkish maroon. Both are enormously gorgeous and dazzling.

Texture & pigmentation

The texture of both shadows is smooth and silky. They are really like silk. The pigmentation is just amazing; it’s more pigmented than the Faces quad shadows. You can even apply them without a primer. You can feel the pigmentation after just one touch from your finger.

Lasting power

I love its strong saying power. It stays 4 to 5 hours without primer. If you apply a good primer like RBR Mattyfing primer, it can stay about for 8 to 9 hour without smudging or creasing easily so you can imagine about its strong staying power.

In the mirror of my own experience

After using these shadows,

I have to realize that it’s a wonderful product from Faces. Both shadows are beautiful with soft silky texture. When I applied them on my lids, the silky effect of these shadows reminded me many times that I was using a product from a silk range. I was surprised to see that there was no fall out in both shadows. I really hate the fall out of shadows because it’s like a headache for me. Moreover they were easy to apply and gave a satin finish to my eyes.The effect which I got after applying them was incredible, everyone praised my eye makeup that day. I was really pleased to see the result. I have already written about the lasting power so there is nothing bad in this duo. The finish I got after applying them was really impressive.

Good points

Beautiful glossy packaging which really makes it a part of silk range. You can’t expect a better packaging from this range. You get a wide mirror and double tipped sponge applicator which can be very helpful in traveling.

The texture is soft like butter, silky touch you can feel while applying the shadow.

Both shades are beautiful and give a fantastic effect. You can applying either alone or mix with the other shade. Can be also mixed with a black shade to give a glamorous effect.

The glitters contained in the shadows are not too much, they just give a glamorous finish to the eyes.

The most important thing which I love in these shadows not falling out at all.

The lasting power is amazing, stronger than one expects.

They don’t smudge and crease for a long time.

gets easily removed with your cleanser.

To see the superb quality, its worth the cost.

Inside

Bad points

It's not a bad point but I wish they kept the other shade gold or black, or in any contrast color.

Finally....

Finally I can say that this is an amazing eye shadow duo which is really impressive and can't be missed at any chance. From packaging to quality and shades,

you can’t get any fault to criticize and it’s a big deal. You hardly ever find a product in which nothing is bad.
