Budget Friendly Alternatives for Ravishing Makeup- Guest Post

Looking good may not always come with a hole in your pocket. While there is nothing
to deny the fact that prices of beauty products like Olay and others are going sky high, a
smart buyer knows how to cut back on your cosmetics budget by finding the right budgeted
alternatives. If you also wish to become one of the smart women, given below are a few
budgeted alternatives for your expensive beauty products:

1. Mascara: The main thing to look for in good mascara is the brush. The bristles must
not be clumped together but there should be many bristles that are spread over a
larger area. This will lengthen, accentuate and glorify the lashes. Some makeup artists
use different mascaras for length and thickness. The thickness mascara should be
applied first, followed by the lengthening one on the ends. Use L’Oreal Extra Volume
Collagen Mascara instead of Benefit Bad Gal Lash or DiorShow for budgeting. Cover
Girl LashBlast Volume Mascara is also recommended buy.

2. Eye and lip liners: Eyes and lips are pretty sensitive areas and these are also the main
areas where wrong makeup can cost. Hence, you must invest in quality eye and lipliners to save yourself from any mishaps. A quality liner does not necessarily mean a
costly one if you know just what to look for. A good liner must be smooth and soft; it
should not require excessive dragging which can damage the skin. A waterproof liner
will last the day and keep your face fresh. Replace your MAC Technakohl and Power
Point Eye Pencil with Revlon Colorstay liners for same results on a smaller budget.

3. Blush: A cream based blush should be preferred over a powder one because it looks
natural and lasts longer. Cream based blush are considered harmful for the skin as
they get soaked in. A pigmented blush gives a peppy look and you should try and get
one to get that blast of colour. A good blush on a budget is Maybelline Expert Wear
Blush (my review here) and Revlon Cream Blush. They are an inexpensive option to Bare Escentuals
bareMinerals Blush and Bobby Brown Pot Rouge.

4. Eye Shadow: Many affordable eye shadows are available in the market and they
can be used. The trick is to even out the base skin using a primer or concealer on
the lid, and then apply the eye shadow over the top. Eye shadows can change your
look completely if you learn to apply them properly. Maybelline Expert Wear Eye
Shadows Quads has a good color palette as does L’Oreal HIP Cream Shadow Paint.
Experts recommend the use of these budget products instead of Dior Eye Palette,
MAC Paint Pot and Chanel Quadra Eye Shadow.

5. Lip makeup: Many people prefer gloss over lipsticks due to their ease of use. No
matter what you use, there are many affordable choices. Instead of going for colours
that look great on others, choose a colour that compliments your skin tone. Guard
your lips with any of the products given below:
a) L’Oreal Infallible Never Fail Lipgloss
b) L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipcolour
c) L’Oreal Colour juice Gloss
d) Revlon Colorstay Overtime Lipcolor

6. Eye creams: The cream you use for the rest of your face does not work on the eye
area because this area is much more delicate. Invest in a good eye cream because this
will penetrate the skin and make it soft and supple. A harsh cream can cause a lot of
trouble. Some people save money on the other products and use it here. However,
there are many reasonable brands available in the market that can be used.
If you research really well, you will find a number of exchange offers where reputed
companies offer seasonal discounts on their beauty products. Look well and you will
find the product of your choice at lower rates. Olay PRO X Eye Restoration Complex
and L’Oreal RevitaLift Deep Set Wrinkle Eye Cream work as effectively as La Mer
’The Eye Balm” and Kinerase Restructure Firming Eye Cream.

These products are good buys and will also save you a lot of cash. The only splurge
recommended is for concealer and foundation as those manufactured by the big names
contain ingredients that ensure that your skin is pampered and loved.
