I'm a sucker of matte lipsticks, like every other girl! I was really excited to try the new shades that L'Oreal Paris launched in their Limited Edition Cannes Collection a couple of months back!
Although I tried the eyeliners & the liquid lipsticks as well from that collection but today I will, specifically, be talking about the new lipstick shades- Arabian Night & Cherry Crush

L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Moist Matte lipsticks come in a bronze gold packaging with a shade button on one side. L’Oreal Paris has glamourized the packaging with Swarovski elements on the color button side of the packaging for this year's Cannes collection. This addition gives the packaging a much more classy and special touch. Another speciality of the lipsticks belonging to this collection is that after removing the outermost box, these are wrapped up in a gorgeous velvet box adding a luxurious effect to the packaging.
The texture of both the shades is pretty good. I would say Cherry Crush has a better move on the lips. They are easy to apply and glide on effortlessly. The best part is that they are quite moisturising but I would suggest you to use a lip balm underneath if you have dry lips.
Application & Effect
Both the shades are highly pigmented. A couple of swipes would be enough to get the right colour especially incase of Arabian Night. I've used Cherry Crush a number of times because it is a beautiful cool toned pink which along with reds is my go to lip colour. For a casual day out, this will give the perfect pink effect!
Coming on to the second one, Arabian Night felt a bit drying on application, hence the lip balm suggestion as mentioned above. It is a deep plum shade for bold lips. Wouldn't be suitable for a day look but you can give it a go for a night look. It's quite a unique shade which may not suit everyone due to the deep, dark effect it gives the lips. Both the shades are absolutely matte but do not dry the lips much as many matte lipsticks tend to do.
Good points
Quite moisturising inspite of being matte.
Luxurious packaging.
Arabian Night is a unique shade.
True to their name- Colour Rich, moist & matte.
Lasting power is impressive.
Super pigmented.
Bad points
Expensive. Only L'Oreal Paris devotees would invest in these. I guess other drugstore brands can offer you such lipticks and high-end ones, even better ones.
Cherry Crush is a very ordinary shade of pink. Limited Editions should offer something more unique.
Finally...
I cannot recommend these to everyone because of the price factor. But if you can easily spend a lot on cosmetics, then obviously these lipsticks will be a great pick. If deep & dark shades suit you, Arabian Night is a must have!
