Sigma Spa Express Brush Cleaning Glove- review, how to use |
We all love doing our makeup but none of us enjoy cleaning makeup brushes, isn't it? Nowadays, products like brush cleaning eggs, mats etc are available in the market which have made this work easier. I was a little sceptical about rubbing my soft brushes against something hard which is why I wasn't using any such device. However, when Sigma Beauty sent me their Spa Express Brush Cleaning Glove, I decided to give it a go. All my brushes were dirty and I was desperate to clean them ASAP! Read on to find out more about this Sigma Spa Gadget and a video tutorial showing how to use it.
What company says...
The PATENTED Sigma Spa® Express Brush Cleaning Glove was designed as a compact brush cleaning device featuring 7 patented textures for both eyes and face brushes. The glove provides a quick and effective cleaning process including a universally fit strap to be placed around the thumb and wrist to help secure the glove during vigorous brush cleaning. Also travel-friendly, it conveniently occupies minimal space for easy storage and transporting.
In the mirror of my own experience
The Sigma Spa Gadget range consists of a brush cleaning mat, another glove & a 2X glove. All have a similar kind of packaging. The outer plastic case contains the product housed inside and has all the information printed on both sides. The glove is even without opening the outer packaging making it easy to see what the product's like. The glove is bright pink silcone with 7 different textures and grooves all over it. It feels lightweight and soft on wearing. It's not a proper glove (you can check out the brush cleaning gloves HERE) but nearly one, hence the name. The Sigma Spa express Brush cleaning Glove looks super pretty and definitely tempts one to play around with. The glove is dual sided- one side for eye brushes, the other side for face brushes. The textures are- RINSE, WASH & REFINE. As eye brushes are smaller and delicate, the textures & grooves are small and fine.
How to use-
I'm listing the steps of using this glove. You can scroll down to watch the video tutorial for better understanding. (Link to video- HERE)
First I drench my brush and pour a little amount of baby shampoo or my regular shampoo over the RINSE texture of the glove.
Gently move the brush for a few seconds over it to activate the dirt particles.
After taking a tiny amount of shampoo over the Wash texture, I rub my brush over it and it's clearly visible that the brush is getting a deep cleansing.
Finally, I rub it over the REFINE texture to make sure that the brush is totally clean!
Drain the excess water by pressing the brush...and that's it!
Each brush takes hardly 3-4 minutes & within half an hour, I manage to wash 10-12 makeup brushes. With this effective brush cleaning gadget, I really look forward to washing my brushes. It's travel-friendly and conveneint to use. The price is on the higher side so I would recommend you all to buy this when on SALE.
I forgot to click a 'before' picture so this is after I cleaned the brushes |
