One of Maybelline latest releases in India is their Baby Lips Candy Wow collection which is a great news for all lip balm lovers like me. The best thing is that this time it comes in a cute retractable crayon format and 5 colors that are inspired from candies. Today I'm going to review this one of the new beauties from this collection.

Packaging

The first part that will attract you instantly is undoubtedly its cute and lovely packaging. The new Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow comes in a bright retractable packaging. It's pen shaped crayon, a little chubby and long. it's color coded according to the flavor with a same color cap and rounded tip. The packaging is just WOW, totally travel-friendly can even be carried in your pocket.

Shade

I got mine in the shade 'Peach'. It's a pale pink shade more of the peachy.

Smell and Texture

The name of the shade actually represent the fragrance of the lip balm. It has a sweet, mild and yummy smell that I love. The testure is totally soft and creamy and it moisturiesd the lips well. Like Original Baby Lips, you can feel the softness of lip balm while applying it on your lips.

Application & Effect

Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow Peach is tricky color so it's not much pigmented but gives a natural pinky peach effect to the lips. it's not as pigmented as Electro Pop baby lips. It's pale and sheer so you need a few swipes to show the real shade. This shade will be great for fair skin girls. The application is so easy and it applies very softly on the lips. It makes the lips moisturised instantly with a lovely natural effect. It hydrates my lips very well. My dry lips feel soft and smooth after applying it and the smoothness stays for about more than 2-3 hours.

Staying power

The wear time of Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow is about 2-3 hours which for a lip balm is great as this has the added bonus of color as well. The best part of the product is that even if the color tends to fade if you have a meal, it doesn't make your lips dry.

Applying Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow Peach

Overall, it's a glamorised version of a normal tinted lip balm. It's more pigmented( the rest of shades are even more pigmented than this one) and comes in a super cute packaging. I love having the other shades too. Totally recommended if you want a sheer lipstick like lip balm plus easy to use pen-like packaging. Yes, it's expensive in comparison to the Original Baby Lips so if you don't want to spend more money, then go for the original version.
