Maybelline NY Color Show Lipsticks- Review, swatches & price in India

It's time for a review of the Maybelline New York Color Show lipsticks. Today I'm here with two new shades of the Maybelline Color Show range- Fuchsia Flare & Orange Icon.

Packaging

The Maybelline Color Show Lipsticks come in a simple plastic packaging with a color-coded band. The shade number and color are pointed out at the bottom of the lipstick. If you have more than one shade from this range. You will have to check the name of the shade at the bottom of the tube. Like Maybelline Bold Matte lipsticks and Maybelline Color Sensational lipstick, they shut with a click and are very secure and safe in your handbag. The packaging is simple but good for travelling.


Shades

The shade Orange Icon is with a touch of brownish coral. It's not as bright as its name. It's a pretty color that can be applied on any occasion. The other shade Fuchsia Flare is a bright vibrant fuchsia that will be perfect for special occasions or great with a simple outfit for a pop out bright color!

Texture and Pigmentation

The texture is very silky and buttery formula. Though I can't say about all the Maybelline Color Show shades but these two lipsticks, that I have tested are very creamy and hydrating. Both, Orange Icon and Fuchsia Flare are super pigmented. I was amazed by the color pay off. A single swipe gives you the right color and offers great coverage. Really love the intensity of the color of these lipsticks.

Application & Effect

They spread on the lips so smoothly. You don't need a lip balm before applying these due to their silky texture. The effect is great because they feel so light weight on the lips and in this humid weather it gives a great relief. The finish is glossy and mixture of semi-matte or something between of these that I love especially in this season.

Lasting power

As the formula of these lipsticks is creamy so their lasting power is not strong. They last for about 3-4 hours without having meals. If you eat something, you will have to reapply and I can't blame for it because this is a big problem with all creamy formula lip colors.

Finally...

Overall I'm loving these lipsticks, they have everything that you can wish in light textured lipsticks. These are perfect for summer and monsoon when we want something light on our lips. The price is quite affordable so you can buy different shades from this range. The shades are beautiful and vibrant and wearable. I would love to buy some more shades from this range. I'll highly recommend to my readers to try these lovely color lipstick that have great quality.
