Facefront Cosmetics pigments- review, swatches

Hey everyone,

As most of you must be aware of the fact that I own many eyeshadow pigments, of various brands & i love using them for various purposes.
Recently I got to try eyeshadow pigments of a new brand- facefront cosmetics. It is a vegan, US brand that specializes in pigments (eyeshadows, blush, bronzer etc)

I'll be reviewing two shades today, take a look!

I'm reviewing- Acrylic Apple torte- Brilliant ruby/garnet pink metallic.
 Hypnosis- A beautiful soft golden shade, gives a very elegant look to the eyes!

In the mirror of my own experience

I've used many pigments & after my experience I can say that these are of really good quality & if you are in search of pigments, you can surely try some from facefront!

Packaging

You get the usual packaging of these pigments as one will find of other brand's pigments. Small jar with a lid.
 

Texture

Both have a soft, silky texture & they glide on so smoothly on the lids! You get a gorgeous effect after applying them!

Pigmentation

Highly pigmented, so a very small amount is required to get the appropriate color. The ruby red one is even more pigmented that the golden shade which is more of a soft color unlike the dark, dazzling Apple Torte!

Lasting power

They have a satisfactory lasting power of about 4-5 hrs & with base you can strengthen their lasting power even more. Even if they fade, it looks pretty good as there aren't any patches to be seen.

Finally...

I really love both these pigments & would love to try more shades from their collection!!!

Illamasqua Sealing Gel-Review, swatches & photos

I had been often thinking about something like Illamasqua sealing gel which can make my favorite eye shadows as eyeliner and after using this gel I can use my favorite powder eyeshadow and pigments as eyeliner very easily. It's an exciting activity which gives a change to my makeup routine. Today a short review of this sealing gel.

Illamasqua Sealing Gel

The Sealing Gel is a product which you can use to convert your powder shadows or pigments into liquid. It's a smallest part of Illamasqua's Human Fundamentalist collection.

In the mirror of  my own experience

I love to use my most favorite eye shadows on my eyes as an eyeliner. In this way, we can give some new way to our makeup look. When I tried it first, that was really an exciting experiment and the result was just amazing. The effect which I got, was fantastic, I'll show you how it happened but first one quick view of its packaging.

Packaging

Illamasqua Sealing Gel comes in a tiny small black bottle with same color lid. The packaging is good and can be carried out in the purse very easily. After opening the lid, you can drop the liquid direct onto your shadows/pigments.

The way of using

At first I tried this sealing gel with my favorite RBR pigment. I took out some amount of the pigment in RBR pigment's cap and then dropped just two drop of the sealing gel into the pigment, mixed it with my eyeliner brush and then applied it on my hand, first as shadow then as eyeliner. After this trial, I used it with some other favorite eye shadows and always loved the result. You can use it as a creamy eyeshadow base , liner or you can even apply it alone on your entire lid and trust me you'll love its effect in every way.

RBR Pigment and Illamasqua Sealing Gel. I took a small quantity of pigment in its cap.

Then dropped two drop of gel into the pigment, Mixed with an eyeliner brush and done!!

Effect

I really love the effect I got after using this gel with my different favorite eye shadows and pigments. This tiny bottle has opened a door to experiment with lot of eye shadows and getting different eye makeup looks.You can see how beautiful the eyeshadow looks with sealing gel , you can apply different colorful eyeliners everyday with this gel.

Lasting power

I applied my Sleek Makeup eye shadow as a liner on my eyes using this sealing gel recently in a party and it lasted almost 6-7 hours without fading.The Sealing gel does make the eye shadows waterproof but  if you rub it with fingers, it will start to fade,but otherwise you'll require a good eye makeup remover to wipe it off completely.

Good points

Cute small packaging.

Very easy to use.

The quantity is too less but you just need two or three drops to intensify the eye shadow.

It's water proof and I didn't find my liner smudging or smearing.

This sealing gel opens doors for so many looks and experiments with your eyes.

 

Bad points

This is a wonder product, but no doubt,very expensive.

Not available in India.

 

Finally...

I'm very happy with this wonderful product. I love to apply different color eyeliners on my eyes these days so now it has become very easy with this product. The only disappointing part is its cost which is too high to see the quantity. So It'll be difficult to afford by every makeup lover. But overall, I want to appreciate Illamasqua to launch a wonderful product that can do some amazing work.

Recommendation 

It's costly but if you can afford it and love to do different experiments with your eye makeup, you should definitely try it out.

In the mirror of my own experience

I applied it on my lips and the first application described its smoothness and intensity which one can only find in some high brand lipsticks. After applying it I just love its finish and effect.

Packaging

Becca Sheer Tint Color comes in a heavy metal tube. "Becca" is stamped on the end of the cap, which screws on securely.

First of all I have to say that I really love the simple and elegant design of this lipstick which is a purse-friendly too. It  ”twists and locks” so it doesn’t open in your bag.It's a very swish, very glam silver lipstick tube which feels heavy.You can easily search it in your purse.

Texture

The texture of this lip tint is very lightweight and  so velvety and silky that you even feel only touching with your fingers.It feels light weight on the skin like feather.
the lipstick itself gives a very beautiful light coverage, and as the name suggests it reminds me of a tint. It gives enough of  colour but doesn’t feel heavy. The texture is lovely and it
looks beautiful even if your lips are not in the best condition.

 

Pigmentation

The pigmentation is just perfect for that 'flushed' look and the  color is buildable too. Only one or two swipes is enough to get the color. It's highly wearable and I can feel the quality in the product.It's a sheer formula but offers nice, even and beautiful  high coverage.

Application

I can say that the coverage varies between sheer and medium, depending on the way you apply them on your lips. If you apply just one or two swipe the effect will be quite light and natural but if you want high coverage you'll find it after 4 or five swipes.

Effect

The effect and finish, as shown on the swatches, is not frosty at all, even It contains no shimmer , but not matte either it leave your lips with a very subtle sheen,

classy enough to please those who dislike intensely any hint of frost on their lips!

I really love how this lipstick looks like on the lips, and this is the reason I'm posting a full face photo with this lipstick.
It has a very lovely cappuccino scent to it which I personally love. It is said that Lip Tint contains Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Honey and other essential fatty acids with natural anti-oxidants so I can use it without worrying for a whole day long.

Lasting power

Despite a sheer formula the lasting power is quite effective. No need to reapply for about 5 - 6 hours and for me it's not bad. If you want more, apply some loose powder on your lips before applying the lipstick and you'll see, this idea will really work.

Though the subtle shine doesn't stay on for very long, the color, however, lasts on your lips for a good few hours, I applied it yesterday and noticed that it lasted 5-6 hours easily on my lips  even it passed my lunch and ice cream test too, without settling into those finer lines. So I can say that it has great lasting power.

Good points

Elegant and beautiful packaging silver, sleek and heavy with a screw top that makes sure the lipstick won't accidentally open.

Awesome formula which is super moisturizing!

It provides creamy color with subtle shine and finish.

 I love the pleasant scent

Gives your lips a beautiful but natural effect. 

Doesn't make my lips dry at all.

Gives a very beautiful coverage and finish.

Long lasting.

Its beneficial ingredient , which is a mix of caramel, vanilla and cocoa butter.making it not just a lipstick but a lip treatment.

Bad points

Unfortunately, these luxury products are expensive, but from my experience so far, it's worth it!

Can melt in the hot & sultry weather so you should keep it in your refrigerator. 

Finally...

As you can see, I like  this product a lot and I wouldn’t mind trying out some other shades such as Valentina,Estella and Yasmina.I really love this lipstick, It gives a lovely finish to my lips and I feel something special after applying it so what more one can want from a lip color.

The most important thing is its advantageous ingredients which make me pleased that I have applied a good quality lipstick which not only beautifies my lips but also gives treatment it.

After publishing the press information about Sleek Makeup i-Divine Ultra Mattes palettes I got countless mails from my readers from all over the world who are extremely excited to know this and they eagerly wanted review of these palettes. I don’t remember how many mails I received, I have hardly ever seen such excitement about any brand’s products among the makeup lovers. In India this brand is so popular that most of Indian ladies don’t care about the shipping price of Sleek Makeup’s products that makes them even more costly than some big brands that are currently available in India. I have to realized the fact that Sleek Makeup has achieved this strong place all over the world due to its high quality of products and the passion of giving some new trends to the makeup lovers to keep their preference in mind.

Packaging

I have described about the packaging of Sleek Makeup eye shadow palettes before in my previous posts so I don’t want to go into the details. The packaging is a sleek black matte casing. There is “Sleek Makeup” embossed on the flap. Like their other palettes n the inside is the wide mirror with a transparent plastic sheet with names of the eyeshadows printed on it just like their other palettes. The palette also includes a duo felt tip long applicator too. The only difference in the packaging is the design of the outer carton which looks lovely <3

Shades

 There are 12 completley matte shades in the V1 Brights palette. All shades are beautiful but very similar to Sleek Makeup Caribbean palette, just a few differences are between the two.  

Chill is a very nice aqua shade, it’s so cool shade for summer. It’s creamy in texture and quite nicely pigmented.

Pout is a hot pink matte shade. This shade is almost neon-looking, creamy soft and pigmented too.

Sugarlite is a medium purple shade. This is one of the shades that has disappointed me. It’s not pigmented at all although I love purple so I used it with primer & it was then that it showed up.
Cricket is a bright, grassy green and it’s amazingly pigmented. Very creamy in texture and blends beautifully on the lids. It’s one of the jewels of shades.

Bolt is a bright cobalt blue. The other jewel among the shades highly pigmented with soft creamy texture and not falls out at all.
Strike is a bright straight up orange. Love this shade, can be used as a blush too. The pigmentation is not bad but average. A bit hard in texture but still creamy.

Dragonfly is a bright  basic green, soft texture and average pigmentation.

Pucker is another hot pink shade. Both shades are very similar to each other and I don’t know why two same type shade are kept in the same palette. In the pan though, Pucker looks more pink and less red than Pout, but actually both are almost same. In the Caribbean palette, one shade was red on the place of two pinks.
Bamm is a bright canary yellow. Not strong pigmentation in it , but it's still an exciting shade.
Floss is a light neutral pastel pink, and is one of the three neutral shades in the palette. It's very creamy in texture but a little less pigmented than some of the really bright shades.
Crete is a very light, whitened concrete grey. Another lovely neutral shade, it’s pigmented and very creamy textured. Caribbean palette had a black shade(NOIR) instead of this grey.

Pow  is a white that's medium in pigmentation but very creamy texture.

Texture

In terms of texture, these are much like the other matte shades in other Sleek palettes, some are very soft and creamy in texture and some are a bit hard but still creamy and blendable.

Pigmentation

I found the pigmentation to be generally very good, as per Sleek Makeup's general quality. There are only a couple of shades which are a little lacking in pigmentation.

Application

I can say that they are superb in applying. The shades that are less pigmented also come up well with primer. Most of shades have creamy texture and blend well. I noticed very less fall out & that's amazing.

Effect

It's very lovely palette for the summers, though generally I don't like much bright shades but no doubt, they all give a beautiful effect to your eyes.

Lasting power

Like other Sleek Makeup eye shadow palettes, almost all shades have strong staying power. You need a good primer for less pigmented shades but much pigmented shades can stay long even without primer or base.

Good points

The ladies who like bright & pastel matte shades will enjoy Sleek MakeUp's Ultra Matte i-Divine Palette V1 Brights.

The packaging is sleek but sturdy with a great sized mirror inside.

Sleek makeup has given the name ‘Brights’ the palette has various light pastel neutral shades

The shade selection is superb; most of bright shades are available in it.

Overall the shades are really pigmented, some are amazingly pigmented.

They are not chalky; the texture is soft and creamy.

.The formula is soft and easy to work with, with very little fall out.

Very strong lasting power.

No need to say about price which is incredible.

Bad points

A few shades like Sugarlite disappointed me with it's pigmentation so for such a shade you require a good primer.

Finally...

Overall it's a very beautifull palette especially for those who don't already have similar shade palette, if you have Sleek Makeup Curacao palette then no need to get this because both palettes are almost same. But bright matte shades lovers consider it as a gift from Sleek Makeup. Most shades are pigmented and have creamy soft texture. They blend very well and have strong lasting power. No fall out at all which is very satisfactory because it's so frustrating to see the colors  falling out on my face during application. No need to say much about the cost so I'm very happy with the palette and would love to purchase the V2 Dark i-divine too.
